WHY WAS TRUMP ELECTED?
The current state of the nation is one of nervousness, anger, and disillusion. The United States of America has opened our eyes to a reality that mesmerizes to say the least, a truth that says yes, we are against certain races, yes, we don’t believe that political correctness should exist, and yes, we can say what we want when we want and insult as many as we want in the process and that’s just how it is going to be whether you like it or not.
There are some of us who for many years remained unconvinced that people were still judged by the color of their skin, and figure when news were heard of some injustice based on racism we believed that was an isolated incident, but looked away and took a deep breath because we were assured that wasn’t what this great country of ours was about. And we could have staked our right hand to this belief.
What is hilarious, are the self-deceptions that those that voted for the current president tell others and perhaps hope to believe themselves, such as, they agreed with his agenda and some of the causes he assured the American people he would work for…The truth of the matter is Trump had no agenda, he talked a lot, he exaggerated as much, he insulted many, but a conclusive idea as to what he was going to do, there never was. And if anyone says that they believed he would drain the swamp and get rid of all the billionaires running the country and having politicians in their back pockets due to contributions, then those that trusted such nonsense didn’t look at the man making such outlandish promises. They didn’t see him for what he truly is, one of those who are part of the problem, one of those corrupt and selfish individuals who doesn’t give a damn about anything or anyone except his own interests.
So why did they truly vote for him?
Trump only wants to destroy what good president Obama did, bad mouth the news, speak without making sense, exaggerate, and overall sound like someone who has no idea what he is talking about, and much less has any point to make. It is true that his opponent was not the greatest of all, but Clinton would have done less damage to the country and corruption would not be so obvious, and if anything, she would not have created more problems and have the country facing a new scandal every week.
There is hope that come mid-term elections in 2018, the majority in this country will give Congress and Senate back to the Democrats and thus tie the president’s hands and keep him from committing errors that will hunt this nation for many years to come. The presidency must be given back to those that know how to do the job, just like we wouldn’t let our mechanic perform surgery on us just because he charges less than our doctor.
